ELI ROTH Wants To Make More HOSTEL and CABIN FEVER Movies
Eli Roth wants to jump back into some familiar bloody horror movie territory. The filmmaker recently revealed that he wants to make more Hostel and Cabin Fever movies. These are the films that put the filmmaker on the map, and he believes that there are more stories to tell with them.
While speaking with CinePop for a new interview, Roth revealed: “Hostel there’s a lot more to do. I’d love to go back to Hostel at some point. And Cabin Fever as well. They’re a part of me. They’re like my children.”
He went on to explain: “I feel like I’ve ignored them for too long, and I’d love to go back to them in some way. I have ideas. I would direct it. I don’t want it in anyone else’s hands.”
It makes sense that he’d want to go back and play in the sandboxes of these horror franchises. I liked Cabin Fever, but wasn’t the biggest fan of the Hostel films. Regardless, there’s no doubt that horror fans would be interested in seeing how Roth would evolve these franchises.
Roth recently released his holiday horror film Thanksgiving, and is currently developing a sequel, which will be released in 2025. Maybe he’ll get around to making a new Hostel or Cabin Fever movie after that.
Obviously, making Thanksgiving reignited his passion for his horror movie work. Are you up for seeing Roth make new Cabin Fever and Hostel movies?
