Enjoy a New Sneak Peek at the POWER RANGERS 30th Anniversary Special

We are so close to the release of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always. This is the 30th anniversary special to celebrate the franchise and it’s going big. Several of the original Rangers are returning including David Yost, Walter Emanuel Jones, Catherine Sutherland, and Steve Cardenas to name a few. We got a trailer not too long ago, but now Netflix and Hasbro have released a brief clip from the special that helps address one question that fans have had: how do these Rangers have their powers?

In the clip, Billy (played by Yost) explains to Kat (Sutherland), Zack (Jones), and Rocky (Cardenas) that he and Alpha have been at work replicating their original powers into new Power Coins. Zack is quick to remind everyone that Zordon explained that this was dangerous, but Kat quickly brushes it aside because of the risks involved. Many fans are pointing out how nice this explanation is for Kat and Rocky using Dino Power Coins while others are saying this is creating more confusion thanks to things like Megaforce existing. I haven’t seen Megaforce, so I can’t really attest to that aspect. The clip ends with Zack leading the Rangers present in morphing, although the clip ends just shy of that hype moment.

[The Rangers come] face to face with a familiar threat from the past. In the midst of a global crisis, they are called on once again to be the heroes the world needs. Inspired by the legendary mantra from the franchise 'Once a Ranger, Always a Ranger,' Once & Always reminds everyone when you become a Ranger, you are always a part of the Ranger family and always welcome.

I know I cannot wait to watch Once & Always. You’ll be able to stream it on April 19 only on Netflix. What are your thoughts on the clip? What are your theories for the special? Let us know in the comments below.
