Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos to Star in Ryan Murphy's FX Series THE BEAUTY
Evan Peters and Ryan Murphy are teaming back up for another series project for FX titled The Beauty. Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, and Jeremy Pope are also set to star in the show,
The series is based on the Image Comics series of the same name created by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley.
The description of the story reads: “Modern society is obsessed with outward beauty. What if there was a way to guarantee you could become more and more beautiful every day? What if it was a sexually transmitted disease?
“In the world of The Beauty, physical perfection is attainable. The vast majority of the population has taken advantage of it, but Detectives Foster and Vaughn will soon discover it comes at a terrible price.”
I’m not familiar with this comic, but it certainly sounds like an interesting and crazy story. Production is slated to begin this fall, with FX ordering 11 episodes.
Matthew Hodgson is a co-creator on the series and Peters, Murphy, Hodgson, Kutcher, Ramos, and Pope are all executive producers.
Peters and Murphy have worked together on nine installments of American Horror Story, while he also received a producer credit for a tenth. Peters also appeared in the first season of the FX series Pose, which Murphy also co-created.
Peters recently starred in the Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which Murphy co-created with Ian Brennan. Peters won a Golden Globe for the show and received an Emmy nomination.
