Familiar Logo Spotted in Latest Trailer For THE MARVELS Offers More Proof of Rumors or a Big Red Herring
There have been a lot of reports and a lot of hints from Marvel about a big and exciting cameo appearance in The Marvels. This is all just rumor and speculation as nothing has been confirmed by the studio, but if you continue to read, be warned… possible spoilers ahead.
Will one of the X-Men actually show up in The Marvels!? It’s very well possible! Marvel has been teasing that this might be the case. They previously teased it in a TV spot that you can watch here, and now in the final trailer, there is another little tease.
In the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, Monica Rambeau is sitting near a monitor, and on that monitor, you can see the classic X-Men logo on the bottom right of the screen. You can see that in the screenshots from the trailer below.
I’ve also seen some comments from people saying they can see Beast and Storm on screen, but I can’t really see any of that for myself. It was previously rumored that: “Someone who was the perfect casting for a certain role and never got his chance to do justice with it cuz they wasted him on a shitty movie is coming back. That's all I'm gonna say.”
We don’t yet know who exactly that character will be, but if it’s not an X-Men character, Marvel has been throwing out some pretty big red herrings to get audiences interested in seeing the movie. We’ll find out soon enough!
In The Marvels, “Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as The Marvels.”
The movie stars Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris’s Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan, along with Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Seo-Jun Park, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Nia DaCosta directs, and Kevin Feige is the producer. The Marvels is set to be released on November 10th.
