FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD is Getting the ScreenX Treatment

Harry Potter fans have something to get excited about. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be released in ScreenX!

If you don’t remember what ScreenX is, it’s a way for films to envelop the audience without physically moving them. Essentially, the walls on either side of the main screen become additional screens. These wall screens typically won’t have anything important, but rather extra scenery. The goal is to further immerse the viewer into the world of the film and it sounds really cool.

Fantastic Beasts will be the third WB film to use the format and will be followed by Aquaman in December and Shazam! in April.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided world.
