Fantastic First Trailer for the Upcoming BBC/Netflix DRACULA Series From the Team Brought Us SHERLOCK

The BBC has released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming new Dracula series, and it looks like it’s gonna be great! I really like what I’m seeing in this trailer; it’s got a wonderfully horrific vibe. I guess it’s not surprising that the series looks so good, after all, it comes from the producing team of Sherlock, Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.

The series is inspired by Bram Stoker’s classic novel, and Claes Bang (The Girl in the Spider’s Web) is taking on the role of the legendary vampire. As you’ll see, it looks like he was a fantastic choice. When previously talking about being cast in the role of Dracula, Bang said:

“I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Dracula, especially when the script is in the hands of the incredible talents of Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss and the team responsible for Sherlock. I’m so excited that I get to dig into this iconic and super-interesting character. Yes, he’s evil, but there’s also so much more to him, he’s charismatic, intelligent, witty and sexy. I realize that there’s a lot to live up to with all the amazing people that have played him over the years, but I feel so privileged, to be taking on this incredible character.”

The story for the series is set in 1897 and revolves around the “blood-drinking count from Transylvania who sets his sights on Victorian London.”

The series will consist of three 90-minute episodes and will air on BBC One in the UK and Netflix around the world.
