Final Trailer For SCREAM 7 Brings Ghostface Back To Terrorize Sidney Prescott
Paramount Pictures has released the final trailer for Scream 7, and Ghostface is back slicing his way into Sidney Prescott’s life all over again.
Nearly 30 years after the original Scream hit theaters in 1996 and reignited the slasher genre, this franchise is still standing. The question hanging in the air now is simple… do fans still want more?
This latest chapter brings the series full circle with Kevin Williamson, the original creator and writer of the franchise, stepping into the director’s chair. He co-wrote and directed the film, marking only his second feature as a director since Teaching Mrs. Tingle in 1999. \
The story shifts to a quieter setting where Sidney Prescott, once again played by Neve Campbell, has built a new life away from the chaos. But peace never lasts in this universe.
When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.
That setup puts Sidney right back in survival mode, only this time it’s personal in a different way. It isn’t just about stopping a masked psycho. It’s about protecting her child and finally confronting everything that’s haunted her since Woodsboro.
The ensemble cast includes Courteney Cox, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, and Ethan Embry.
Matthew Lillard is also set to return as Stu Macher, Scott Foley is coming back as Roman Bridger, and David Arquette will return as Dewey Riley. Characters who were very much dead are now part of the conversation again, and that’s going to be really interesting to see.
The previous installment, Scream VI, arrived in 2023, pushing the carnage into New York City. Now the franchise circles back to Sidney in a way that feels intentionally nostalgic.
Whether that’s a triumphant return or a sign the series is running on fumes depends on who you ask. I’m personally excited for the film!
Paramount will release Scream 7 in theaters nationwide on February 27th, 2026. One more round with Ghostface is almost here.
