First Clip For Netflix's Sci-Fi Series 3 BODY PROBLEM From The Team Behind GAME OF THRONES
Netflix has released a preview clip from its upcoming sci-fi series epic 3 Body Problem. This series is being developed by the creative team behind HBO’s Game of Thrones, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. This actually looks like a cool show!
The clip features Jack (John Bradley) being introduced to a mysterious device that allows individuals to transport to another dimension. As he is enjoying the experience, a woman surprises him wielding a sword telling him he wasn't invited as she slashes at him.
In the series: “A young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time to a group of brilliant scientists in the present day. As the laws of nature unravel before their eyes, five former colleagues reunite to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history.”
The series also stars Jess Hong, Benedict Wong, Eiza González, Jovan Adepo, Alex Sharp, Saamer Usmani, Liam Cunningham, Rosalind Chao, Jonathan Pryce, Marlo Kelly, Sea Shimooka, Ben Schnetzer and Zine Tseng.
Rian Johnson, Brad Pitt, and Rosamund Pike also serve as producers on the series. Benioff, Weiss, and Alexander Woo wrote the series and serve as showrunners.
The eight-episode series is based on the book series by Cixin Liu, and it will cover all three books in the trilogy, which include The Three-Body Problem, The Dark Forest, and Death’s End.
The books tell the story of what happens “when humanity discovers that we are not alone in the universe and prepares for an alien force arriving from a distant and inhospitable world. The title refers to the aliens’ star system, which has three stars orbiting each other in such a way that an Earth-type planet between them keeps suffering extreme hot and cold temperatures, repeatedly wiping out its intelligent civilizations.”
The series will debut on Netflix on March 21st, 2024. Check out the teaser trailer and tell us what you think!
