Teaser Trailer For Netflix's Sci-Fi Epic 3 BODY PROBLEM From The Creators of GAME OF THRONES
Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for its upcoming sci-fi series epic 3 Body Problem, which comes from the team that brought us HBO’s Game of Thrones, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. It looks like a pretty spectacular and visually cool series! Hopefully, they can land the ending.
Per Netflix’s logline for the sci-fi series, “A young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time to a group of brilliant scientists in the present day. As the laws of nature unravel before their eyes, five former colleagues reunite to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history.”
The series stars Jess Hong, Benedict Wong, Eiza González, Jovan Adepo, Alex Sharp, John Bradley, Saamer Usmani, Liam Cunningham, Rosalind Chao, Jonathan Pryce, Marlo Kelly, Sea Shimooka, Ben Schnetzer and Zine Tseng.
Rian Johnson, Brad Pitt, and Rosamund Pike also serve as producers on the series. Benioff, Weiss, and Alexander Woo wrote the series and serve as showrunners.
The eight-episode series is based on the book series by Cixin Liu, and it will cover all three books in the trilogy, which include The Three-Body Problem, The Dark Forest, and Death’s End.
The books tell the story of what happens “when humanity discovers that we are not alone in the universe and prepares for an alien force arriving from a distant and inhospitable world. The title refers to the aliens’ star system, which has three stars orbiting each other in such a way that an Earth-type planet between them keeps suffering extreme hot and cold temperatures, repeatedly wiping out its intelligent civilizations.”
