First Look at Baron Zemo Wearing His Mask, U.S. Agent, and Falcon's New Costume in THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER

With the launch of Disney+ came a new featurette called Marvel Studios: Expanding the Universe. This gives fans a first look at some concept art from Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. That concept art gives us a look at Anthony Mackie’s Falcon’s new costume design as well as a first look at a new character named U.S. Agent, who is played by Wyatt Russell. As you’ll see, the character is wearing a costume that is nearly identical to what Captain America would wear.

Russell's exact role in the show has yet to be revealed, but it’s safe to assume that the government brought in this guy to take over for Captain America after Steve Rogers grew old. It’s previously been reported that the "crux of what that show’s going to be” is that “the government doesn’t want Sam Wilson to be Captain America.” I imagine Sam and Bucky are going to have an issue with that.

We also have a photo to share with you from the series that you can see above featuring Daniel Bruhl's Baron Zemo wearing the character’s iconic purple mask! According to a recent report, the two heroes in the series might end up having to deal with some sort of massive viral threat. The report speculates that this viral threat could come from Virus X, the Madbomb, or something else. Whatever it is it will put the population in grave danger.

When previously talking about the series, Sebastian Stan said:

“I’ll tell you I have [seen scripts]. I have seen them and I’m so excited about it. It’s going to be so cool and kind of crazy. All I can say is it’s just new and different from what you’ve seen so far. I mean, it will be totally in line with everything that has happened and what we’ve seen and so on, but these characters are getting such additional mileage in terms of learning about who they are now, what they feel, what they’re thinking, and there’s a lot of action, comedy, you know there’s going to be comedy. I feel like you’re going to be happy. I think you’re going to be very happy. And there’s some crazy stuff, like stuff you don’t see coming from anywhere.”

I’ve got high hopes for this series and I’m excited to see what the story will be and how it will play out.

The series will be directed by Kari Skogland, and Emily VanCamp is returning as Sharon Carter/Agent 13 along with Wyatt Russell as John Walker, aka U.S. Agent. John Wick creator Derek Kolstad and Empire’s Malcolm Spellman are currently working on the scripts.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will begin airing on Disney+ in the fall of 2020.
