First Look at Taylor Sheridan and Billy Bob Thornton's Oil Drama LANDMAN and Premiere Date Announced
Paramount+ has announced that Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming oil drama Landman will premiere on November 17th. They also shared a first-look image of its star Billy Bob Thornton and the rest of the ensemble cast.
The story is set in the “proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, Landman is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the 11-part podcast Boomtown, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.”
This is a fascinating story. I recently finished listening to the podcast that this series is based on, and this is going to make for a great show that will shed some light on the madness of the oil industry.
Landman also stars Ali Larter (The Last Victim), Michelle Randolph (1923), Jacob Lofland (Joker 2), Kayla Wallace (When Calls the Heart), James Jordan (Yellowstone), Mark Collie (Nashville), Paulina Chávez (The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Michael Peña (End of Watch), and Demi Moore (Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans).
The series is currently in production in and around Fort Worth, Texas.
