First Trailer for Amber Heard's Upcoming Possession Horror Thriller IN THE FIRE
Saban Films has released the first trailer for Amber Heard’s upcoming possession horror thriller In The Fire. The movie is set in the 1890s, and Heard plays a doctor who travels from New York to a remote plantation wto care for a disturbed young boy.
The boy seems to have inexplicable abilities and as she begins treating the child, she “ignites a war of science versus religion with the local priest who believes the boy is possessed by the Devil and is the reason for all the village’s woes.”
Heard talked about the film, saying: “The film is a meditation on the almost supernatural powers of love told through a strong-willed and independent woman at the turn of the 20th century. I feel honored to be part of this labor of love and to be the lead in Conor Allyn’s vision. I feel lucky to be surrounded by such an amazing cast. They’re as dedicated and magical as the characters they play.”
The movie comes from director Conor Allyn and it also stars Lorenzo McGovern Zaini, Sophie Amber, Luca Calvani, and Yari Gugliucci.
Amber Heard has been a hot topic of conversation in recent months, and some people are boycotting Aquaman 2 over Heard’s involvement in the film. I doubt that will spill over into this film because it’s a much lower-profile project.
The film has been rated “R” for: “Some violent content and brief sexuality” and it will be available in theaters and at home on Friday, October 13th.
