First Two DEADPOOL Trailers Arrive Next Week!

Shortly after Comic-Con ended, Ryan Reyolds said that we would see the first official footage from Deadpool released to the world in three weeks. Well, that three weeks is coming to a close, and next week we will be getting trailers for the film! One of those trailers will be a red-band version.

The red-band trailer is coming Tuesday, August 4th, on TBS, which lists Reynolds as a guest on Conan for that day and says, “Ryan Reynolds debuts the new red-band trailer for ‘Deadpool.’ We’re filling up his dressing room with chimichangas in anticipation.” That trailer will be released online around the time of the TV premiere.

Then the Deadpool theatrical trailer will debut in theaters Friday, August 7th. It will be attached to 20th Century Fox's superhero movie Fantastic Four. So if you need a good reason to see Fantastic Four, there it is. You've got to see the Deadpool trailer on the big screen!

According to SuperHeroHype, the red-band trailer is 17 seconds longer than the theatrical trailer. I'm sure it will be 17 seconds of blood and vulgarity.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool arrives in theaters on February 12th. The Tim Miller-directed film also stars Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, and Ed Skrein. To read our description of the Comic-Con footage, click here
