For Those of You Still Wondering if Spider-Man Shows Up in VENOM, Here's Your Answer

Ever since Sony Pictures announced that they were developing a Venom film, fans have wondered if they would see Spider-Man in it. During the film’s production there were all kinds of rumors and speculation regarding the possible inclusion of Spider-Man. But, now the the film has screened we have a definitive answer for you. Before we proceed, I’m going to throw this up just in case:

So, does Spider-Man appear in the movie? No. Is there any mention of Spider-Man? No. Is there any hint or Easter Egg involving the web-crawler? No. Is there any mention of anything involving the MCU as a whole? No.

Venom is very much a standalone film that is set in its own universe. So for those of you holding out for hope that there would be anything involving Spider-Man, you’re not gonna get it in this movie.

Now, I guess Spider-Man and Venom still could meet at some point in the distant future. But, with Venom completely standing on it’s own the way it does, it seems like whenever someone from the studio talks about the possibility of bringing the two characters together, they might just be saying it to make the fans happy, even though it may never happen.

Also, if the movie really is as mediocre as people are saying it is, why would Kevin Feige want to combine their amazing Marvel Universe with a mediocre one?

Are you disappointed to hear Venom doesn’t set anything up for Spider-Man?
