Full Trailer for SEVERANCE Season 2; Mark Scout’s Two Worlds Start to Collide
Apple TV+ has released a full trailer for the workplace thriller Severance Season 2, and it offers a better look into what’s in store for this next season as the two worlds of Adam Scott’s Mark Scout start to collide. The trailer also sees Scout searching for his dead wife, who, isn’t actually dead.
At the end of Season 1 employees Mark, Helly, Dylan, and Irving managed to break their consciousnesses out of the confines of their office, and were starting to piece together who they are in the real world.
Mark Scout leads a team at Lumon Industries, “whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives.
“This daring experiment in ‘work-life balance’ is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself.”
In season two, “Mark and his friends, Helly (Britt Lower), Dylan (Zach Cherry) and Irving (John Turturro), learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe.”
Created by Dan Erickson and executive produced by Ben Stiller, the series also stars Christopher Walken, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus and Dichen Lachman.
New cast members have been added for Season 2, including Gwendoline Christie, Alia Shawkat, Bob Balaban, Merrit Wever, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, John Noble and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson.
Patricia Arquette stars as the manager of the severed employees, as well as Mark’s next-door neighbor. As the show progresses, Mark makes curious discoveries that call into question the intentions of the company.
Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes, and it’s set to premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, January 17.
