George Clooney Confirms Ocean’s 14 Is Finally Moving Forward

It looks like Danny Ocean and his crew might be gearing up for one more job. George Clooney has confirmed that Ocean’s 14 is officially moving forward, and he even gave fans an idea of when cameras could start rolling.

While promoting his upcoming film Jay Kelly at the New York Film Festival, Clooney was asked by E! News about the future of the Ocean’s Eleven franchise. This time, instead of vague teases, he dropped the most concrete update we’ve had in years:

“We just got the budget approved at Warner Brothers, and we're trying to set up -- it's just scheduling, so it's just setting a start date for us. Probably start in about nine or ten months, shooting.”

An approved budget and a filming timeline mean Ocean’s 14 is finally shifting from rumor to reality.

This update comes after a string of encouraging comments over the past year. Back in September 2024, Clooney said there was already a “good script” that everyone liked.

Earlier this year, Brad Pitt hyped it up even more, calling the script “pretty damn tasty.” On the other hand, Matt Damon admitted in August 2024 that he hadn’t heard much about the project at the time. Clearly, things have moved quickly since then, and now the heist is officially on the horizon.

Clooney also took a moment to reflect on how exciting it will be to reunite with his longtime co-stars. When asked specifically about Pitt, he couldn’t help but gush about the entire ensemble:

“Yeah, Brad [Pitt], Matt [Damon] and Don [Cheadle] and Julia [Roberts]. I had dinner last night with Julia. They're all still really dear friends. And so, the chance to work together would be fun.”

It’s been 18 years since the last time we saw the Ocean’s Eleven crew together on screen. Ocean’s 8 gave us a spinoff in 2018, but it wasn’t tied closely to Danny Ocean’s original crew. Now, with Clooney, Pitt, Damon, Roberts, and Don Cheadle all seemingly ready to return, this next chapter is shaping up to be a fun movie event.

Whether it’s slick one-liners, outrageous heists, or the effortless chemistry between its cast, the Ocean’s franchise has always delivered cool, stylish fun.
