GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE Photo Brings Bill Murray Back to Ghostbusters Headquarters
A new photo has been released for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, and it features Bill Murray back in the role of Dr. Peter Venkman and sees him return to Ghostbusters headquarters, the iconic firehouse. In the photos we see him talking to Paul Rudd’s character, Gary Grooberson in front of the ghost Containment Unit.
Murray will return alongside Dan Ackroyd, and Ernie Hudson, all back in the firehouse. The director of the film, Gil Kenan, said in an interview with Empire:
“I remember there was a moment halfway through the first morning of directing one of the big scenes where I looked at the monitor, and just caught myself with the biggest grin ever. Finally, it dawned on me that I was calling ‘Action!’ and ‘Cut!’ on some of my very favourite characters in movies, working on a big cinematic scale on something that I really cared about. I try to hold on to that feeling. I still have it now, finishing the film.”
In the story, New York City finds itself freezing over due to an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force! Also, the original Ghostbusters return! Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson are all back for the new adventure! The synopsis reads:
