GODZILLA MINUS ONE Director Thanks American Fans For Film's Success
Toho’s Godzilla Minus One has had a very successful run in the United States since it was released pulling in over $19.2 million at the box office. The movie has become the highest-grossing Japanese live-action film of all time in North America, which is awesome!
The director of the film, Takashi Yamazaki, has shared a heartfelt message to Godzilla fans in North America thanking them for their support of the film and its success. He said:
“We're excited by the tremendous response in North America. I've been reading the fan feedback on social media and am very encouraged by the passionate comments based on a thorough analysis of the film. In some theaters, I've heard there was even applause. Thank you for warmly receiving our Godzilla."
The applause in theaters is 100% right! I watched the film in the theater and fans roared with applause and cheers. Watching Godzilla Minus One in theaters might just be the most fun experience that I’ve had this year at the movie theater!
The movie is set in Japan 1945-1947. “After the war, Japan has been reduced to zero. Godzilla appears and plunges the country into a negative state. Against the most desperate situation in the history of Japan, how — and with whom — will Japan stand up to it?”
If you haven’t watched Godzilla Minus One yet, what are you waiting for!? If there is one movie you have to see in theaters this year, make it Godzilla Minus One!
After watching Godzilla Minus One, I have no desire to see any of the other Godzilla movies that Legendary Entertainment produces. The creative team and executives over there just don’t understand this property and what it needs to be. They think they know what it should be, but they are wrong.
