Great Trailer Reveals Baz Luhrmann’s EPIC: ELVIS PRESLEY IN CONCERT
NEON has unleashed the full trailer for EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, and it looks like an absolutely killer big-screen experience for music and movie fans alike.
The documentary comes from filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, serving as a creative follow-up to his 2022 feature Elvis, but this time the spotlight is locked squarely on the stage.
EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert digs deep into the King’s legendary Las Vegas residency of the 1970s, assembling long-lost concert footage with rare 16mm material from Elvis on Tour and intimate 8mm film preserved in the Graceland archives.
What really makes this doc some fascinating is the inclusion of rediscovered recordings of Elvis Presley himself, offering reflections and commentary in his own voice. The result feels less like a traditional concert film and more like a time machine back to a defining era of his career.
This isn’t framed as a standard biopic or a greatest-hits showcase. The film leans fully into the raw energy of Elvis on stage during his Vegas years, capturing the thrill, the pressure, and the sheer scale of what those performances meant.
TIFF summed up the experience perfectly with this description: "Baz Luhrmann returns to the subject of his most audacious film — 2022’s Elvis — with the extraordinary EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert. Free of contemporary interviews with experts, critics, other stakeholders, the film is propelled by recently discovered archival footage shot at the beginning of the famed performer's Las Vegas residency.
“Originally intended to last a few weeks at the hotel, the 1969 engagement was shockingly lucrative, and stretched on for over seven years. Brilliantly compiled with an aficionado's enthusiasm & sensitivity, it shifts skilfully between rehearsals, where Presley is cheerful, hard-working, even goofy, and live performances that vary from powerful and grandiose to rushed."
Luhrmann brings his signature rhythm and visual flair to the documentary, even while letting the archival material do the heavy lifting.
Neon will release EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert in IMAX for one week starting February 20, 2026, followed by a worldwide theatrical rollout on February 27.
