Harrison Ford Says INDIANA JONES 5 Set to Start Shooting Sometime Next Year

At this past Sunday’s premiere of The Secret Life of Pets, Variety was able to chat with Harrison Ford on the red carpet about the upcoming Indiana Jones film that is currently in development. When asked what he could tell us about the untitled Indy project, Ford said the film, “should be starting to shoot sometime next year.” He then went on to add, “I’m looking forward to it. Things are coming along well.”

It’s pretty exciting that we will have yet another Steven Spielberg directed Indiana Jones film starring the one and only Harrison Ford. We recently reported that while on the Today show, Ford was asked who he thought should take over when he is ready to retire from the famous role of Indiana Jones. He hilariously responded, “Nobody is going to be Indiana Jones. Don’t you get it? I’m Indiana Jones. When I’m gone, he’s gone. It’s easy!”

It is true that there isn’t anyone quite like Harrison Ford, and I’m pretty excited to see him rock the fedora at least one more time. The next Indiana Jones movie is expected to hit theaters on July 9, 2021. Are you excited?
