Hasbro Announces New POWER RANGERS Lightning Collection Figures
Hasbro recently held a fanstream to talk about some of the stuff Power Rangers fans can look forward to this year to celebrate 30 years of the franchise. You can read about the news for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always and Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury in their own article. Meanwhile, There were announcements made regarding the Lightning Collection line of action figures.
Keeping in line with the 30th anniversary celebrations, fans can look forward to remastered figures for Mighty Morphin Blue and Mighty Morphin Yellow. These updated figures for Billy and Trini will launch in March 2023 for $33.99 with pre-orders now open through Hasbro Pulse and BigBadToyStore. What makes these remasters is that they have updated portraits, pinless joints, drop hip joints, and improved paint jobs on the details. Each figure comes with 3 sets of hands, an open morpher, three blade blasters (one for each configuration), and their appropriate weapons. Billy also comes with glasses as an accessory so you can take them off or put them on to fit your preference. Overall, I think these are cool, but a little on the pricey side.
Additionally, this June you can look forward to grabbing the Tenga Warriors Pack. Set to cost $47.99 with pre-orders now open through HP and BBTS, the Tenga Warriors Pack will give you two Tenga Warrior figures to build an army. However, these aren’t just any Tenga. These are color variants replacing the standard purple with green and blue. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of the color variants, but let me know if I should be in the comments.
Three new Ranger figures were announced as well. The Dino Thunder team will be completed with the launch of Dino Thunder Black, Dr. Tommy Oliver. Lost Galaxy almost finishes out the team with the addition of Lost Galaxy Pink, Kendrix Morgan. I’m sure they’ll release another version with Karone eventually. Finally, Dino Fury Blue, Ollie Akana, rounds out the Ranger announcements. Each of these will be available in June 2023 for $24.99 with pre-orders now open on HP and Amazon.
Finally, Dino Thunder fans are going to love the new Mesogog figure also releasing in June for $24.99. I’m a little sad that this figure isn’t coming with an Anton Mercer head sculpt, but it does look really cool. You can pre-order your copy now through AP and Amazon.
