Hawkeye is Said To Be Getting a Lot of Cool New Stuff in INFINITY WAR and AVENGERS 4

We have yet to see Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye in any of the marketing for Avengers: Infinity War. Marvel Studio obviously has some big surprising plans for him that they aren't willing to reveal, but when we do see him in Infinity War and Avengers 4, he'll have a lot of cool new stuff.

While talking to members of the press during a set visit, Marvel Studios' prop master Russell Bobbitt sat down to discuss his work and he started talking about Hawkeye, saying:

"Hawkeye is getting a lot of cool new stuff. We're developing a lot of interesting stuff for him. All in the, sort of, bow related but some new gadgets he has in addition to the bow."

He went on to assure that Hawkeye is "totally there" and "a part of the world!" That still doesn't tell us if he's actually going to appear in Infinity War or not. Just because he's "there" and "a part of the world" isn't the same as saying that he's going to have screentime in Infinity War.

The writers of the movie Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely went on to compare the film to the Nashville TV show, and when asked about Hawkeye, Stephen said:

"It's Nashville, so everyone’s in a different bubble. Some bubbles come together and break apart, some bubbles come together for the third act. That kind of stuff."

In this case, maybe Hawkeye's bubble comes together in a post-credits scene that leads to Avengers 4. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo previously offered some additional insight on Hawkeye's involvement, saying:

"Hawkeye coming out of Civil War is in the same position that the Cap and Falcon are in at the end of that movie. And Ant Man. And coming into this movie, the characters who are on Cap's side coming out of Civil War, some made certain decisions and others made other decisions that led to different paths and them dealing with oversight in this movie in a different way. So, Hawkeye's on his own journey in this movie."

It's also explained that the character "has a unique reaction to the Civil War situation that puts him in a special spot this film." We'll find out what that special spot is when the movie is released on April 27th.
