HBO Max Renews James Gunn's PEACEMAKER for Season 2

HBO Max has announced that James Gunn’s Peacemaker DC series is officially getting a second season. This really doesn’t come as a surprise as Gunn has been talking about it happening. The filmmaker will return to write and direct all episodes of Season 2. Gunn previously said:

"There's a really good chance of that. The show is doing extraordinarily well, and we're excited, we all like doing it, we just need to cross some Ts and dot some Is, which is basically me."

Peacemaker has been a fun and crazy show to watch, and it’ll be cool to see what Gunn and his creative team have in store for Season 2 as they continue Peacemaker’s journey.

He took this character, brought to life by the inimitable John Cena, and created an exceptional series that’s simultaneously thrilling, hilarious and heartfelt, showcasing the humanity beneath this team of misfits living in a superhuman world. As the first original DC show to have its series premiere on HBO Max, we are thrilled that the viewers agreed to give peace a fucking chance.”

The Season 1 series finale will drop on HBO Max tomorrow and It’ll be interesting to see how the first part of this insane story comes to an end.

The series stars John Cena as Peacemaker, Steve Agee as Economos, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn, Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, and Freddie Stroma as Vigilante.
