HBO’s 2026 Slate Promo Features LANTERNS, HOUSE OF THE DRAGON, EUPHORIA, and More
HBO Max shared a fresh promo for its 2026 lineup and it features new footage from some of the streamer’s biggest series.
Fans get their first real taste of what’s coming in Lanterns, House of the Dragon Season 3, Euphoria Season 3, and several other returning and debuting shows. The montage moves fast but it gives a thrilling peek at the tone each project is heading toward.
The footage from Zendaya’s Euphoria opens on a reflective note. “A few years after high school, I don’t know if life was exactly what I wished,” Rue says over quick flashes of Lexi Howard played by Maude Apatow, Maddy Perez played by Alexa Demie, Nate Jacobs played by Jacob Elordi, Cassie Howard played by Sydney Sweeney, Jules Vaughn played by Hunter Schafer, and Rue herself.
The music cuts and Rue steps into a club where a man played by Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje sits surrounded by women. He looks at her and says, “You walk up into my house and you don’t even introduce yourself.”
Akinnuoye Agbaje is joining the season as a new series regular described as “a ruthless kingpin.”
The footage from House of the Dragon Season 3 comes with a stark message from Alicent played by Olivia Cooke. “Rhaenyra will do what she has to do. And what she has to do will be dire.” It signals the tense political storm that will continue to grow in Westeros as the characters push deeper into the Dance of the Dragons era.
Fans finally get the first look at Lanterns, the DC series led by Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart. This is the true debut of footage from the show which comes from Chris Mundy of Ozark, Damon Lindelof of Watchmen, and comic writer Tom King.
The scene featured shows John pleading from the passenger seat, “I trained my entire life for this,” while Hal speeds down a dirt road. Hal answers, “You’re not ready to get up in front of the class until the ring says you are,” then casually sets the Power Ring on the dashboard and rolls out of the moving vehicle as it launches off a cliff. It is a fun and chaotic moment that quickly establishes the dynamic between these two iconic Green Lanterns.
Outside the big headliners, the promo also flashes footage from the upcoming seasons of Dune: Prophecy and The Comeback. New shows teased include DTF St. Louis, Rooster, the Untitled Larry David Project, Half Man, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, and War. There are also glimpses of the two part documentary Mel Brooks: The 99 Year Old Man! which looks like a lively tribute to the comedy legend.
The trailer finishes with reminders of other major HBO titles returning in 2026. Viewers can expect new seasons of Industry, The Pitt, Hacks, and The Gilded Age along with the next Game of Thrones expansion A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
HBO’s 2026 slate is shaping up to be an exciting lineup of fantasy, drama, sci fi and comedy. This first promo gives just enough of each project to get fans ready for what looks like a solid year of entertainment.
