Henry Cavill Confirmed to Star in and Produce WARHAMMER 40,000 Film and TV Series for Amazon Studios
After recently being teased, Amazon Studios officially announced that they have secured the global rights to the Warhammer 40,000 game from Games Workshop for Henry Cavill, and he will star in and executive produce the projects in the franchise, which will include films, TV shows, games, and animation.
They are going all out on this sci-fi fantasy action franchise, and Cavill will be leading the charge! See! Cavill doesn’t need Superman or The Witcher! He’s going to get to build out his very own franchise, and I couldn’t be more excited about it!
Warhammer 40,000 is set in the far future, “where humanity stands at the edge of what might be its brightest future, or its darkest age. The threats to humankind’s empire are many — traitors driven by the fires of ambition, alien empires sworn to reclaim the stars, and the corruption of reality by malevolent gods.”
The game launched almost 40 years ago, and the Warhammer brand has expanded through GAW’s miniatures, sourcebooks, tabletop games, animations, novels, a wealth of licensed material, and video games.
