Henry Cavill is Looking Star in and Produce a WARHAMMER 40,000 Series For Amazon
While a lot of fans are upset about Henry Cavill not reprising his role as Superman, don’t worry, Cavill is going to be just fine. Yeah, it sucks, but he’s got other exciting projects that he’s pursuing! One of these projects is a series adaptation of the epic game Warhammer 40,000!
The project is set up at Amazon Studios and the deal is currently being negotiated. If this actually goes through, Cavill will star in and produce the series. You know what, I’m actually a lot more excited about seeing Cavill do this than seeing Cavill reprise his role as Superman. This is something that he will be able to help develop from the ground up.
Warhammer 40,000 is a miniature wargame produced by Games Workshop in which players enact battles using miniature models of warriors and fighting vehicles. The game is set in “the grim darkness of the far future, where mighty armies clash on countless war-torn worlds and Humanity stands alone, beset on all sides by the threats of the heretic, the mutant and the alien. There is no mercy. There is no respite.”
The models in the game are a mix of humans, aliens, and supernatural monsters, wielding futuristic weaponry and supernatural powers. The fictional setting of the game has been developed through a series of novels, published by Games Workshop’s publishing division Black Library.
