Henry Cavill's Surprise Role in DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE Is Confirmed by Other Inside Scoopers
Last week we shared some news about Henry Cavill joining the MCU in a big surprise role in Deadpool & Wolverine. This week, that news has been spreading like a wildfire on social media and other entertainment outlets, and well-known industry scoopers are confirming that this is true.
It’s nice to know when you get something right. In this case, Henry Cavill is, in fact, playing a variant version of Wolverine in director Shawn Levy’s Deadpool & Wolverine. A lot of fans are excited and some fans would rather see the actor play another hero in the MCU.
There’s no information on what his version of Wolverine will entail, but I’m excited to see him in the role! One of the more popular inside scoopers at the moment, CWGST, shared that “Fans will be very pleased with his appearance.”
There is one website out there, Giant Freakin’ Robot, which is taking credit for this scoop, but there were others who broke it first, and we backed those claims a week before they came along. People just need to give credit where credit is due.
Regardless, it’s going to be fun to see Cavill in the MCU as Wolverine! What I’m mostly curious about is if this is just going to be a one-and-done cameo, or if he is being set up with a bigger role in the MCU. We’ll just have to wait and see.

It’s also said: "That f–king irresponsible hero Deadpool will change the history of the MCU with Wolverine!?"
The film stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Emma Corrin as the villain Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic as Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in an unknown role, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. They are joined by Brianna Hildebrand, and Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio. Rob Delaney will return as Peter and Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra in the movie.
Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26th!
