Jennifer Garner Set to Reprise Her Role as Elektra in DEADPOOL 3
Jennifer Garner is set to reprise her role as Elektra in Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3! The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter, and if this is true, chances are a lot of the other rumors that we’ve been hearing will be true as well.
One of the big rumors was that Ben Affleck will be showing up in the movie as Daredevil, and the fact that Garner will be involved as Elektra means the chances are very good that Affleck is going to show up as well. There’s know doubt that the creative team is going to have a good time poking fun at these characters.
Garner first played Elektra in 20th Century Fox’s 2003 film Daredevil, and then she got her own spinoff a couple of years later. Neither of these films was big a hit with audiences or at the box office, but the fact that they're involved with Deadpool 3 gets me excited to see them again!
Other reports are saying that several X-Men characters such as Halle Berry as Storm, Famke Janssen as Jean Grey, and James Marsden returning to play Cyclops will be in the movie as well. There are also reports that Channing Tatum will appear as Gambit. It was also previously reported that Deadpool 3 will feature multiple variants of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
The movie is being directed by Shawn Levy, and the movie also stars Emma Corrin as the villain, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic as Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in an unknown role, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. They are joined by Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio.
Deadpool 3 is currently slated to open in theaters on May 3, 2024.
