Here's The Nightmarish First Teaser Trailer For The SUSPIRIA Remake

I know a lot of people are curious about the upcoming remake of the 1970s psychedelic horror film Suspiria and now today we have the first teaser trailer for you to watch! It does a great job of setting up the nightmarish and creepy tone of the film. If you're familiar with director Dario Argento's original movie, you'll notice some familiar similarities, especially with the music.

The hype for this film has been building and it all started with the footage that was screened at CinemaCon last month. You can read a detailed account of that footage here. It was seriously messed up. You don't really get to see any of that footage in this trailer. That would definitely have to be saved for a red-band trailer. But there's still some great stuff in this teaser! Here's the synopsis for the film:

As a darkness builds at the center of a world-renown dance company, its artistic director (Tilda Swinton), a young American new to the troupe (Johnson), and a grieving psychotherapist (Lutz Ebersdorf) become entangled in a bloody, sighing nightmare.

The remake is being directed by Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name) and it stars Tilda SwintonDakota JohnsonChloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), Mia Goth (A Cure for Wellness) and Jessica Harper of the original film. Suspiria will be released on November 2nd, 2018.

A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe's artistic director, an ambitious young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist. Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up. Suspiria arrives in theaters November 2. From director Luca Guadagnino.
