HOCUS POCUS Actress Thora Birch Says She's Love to Return For Third Film and See "How Dani Wound Up"

Hocus Pocus 2 was a ton of fun for fans of the original film. It welcomed back the Sanderson sisters, played by returning actresses Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, as well as Doug Jones, back in the role of the zombie Billy Butcherson from the first film.

But some fans wondered if we might see the other main players from the first movie, Dani, the young girl played by Thora Birch, her big brother Max, played by Omri Katz, or his love interest Allison, played by Vinessa Shaw.

They ultimately didn’t return, but Birch did recently express her interest in returning to the franchise ahead of the anticipated third film.

The actress told Entertainment Tonight on a red carpet that she'd be interested in following up with her character and seeing where she landed after the events of that Halloween night decades ago.

“Yeah, I’d like to know what they land on for how Dani wound up. I’m super open to the idea,” revealed Birch. “They love talking about this stuff, so we’ll see.”

I think it would be cool to see her, and even Max and Allison return! Last week, Bette Midler revealed that she has read the script for Hocus Pocus 3, and she said “a lot of it was brilliant,” so next steps are being taken. Stay tuned for updates on the sequel as it moves forward.
