Hulu's New GHOST RIDER Series Will See The Return of Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes

We recently learned that Marvel was developing a Ghost Rider series for Hulu along with a Helstrom series. It was only revealed at the time that the series would focus on the Robbie Reyes version of the character. What we didn’t know is if the series would be a spinoff of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and feature the return of actor Gabriel Luna.

Well, Variety has confirmed that Luna will, in fact, reprise his role. But, sources close to the production stress that this “will be a completely new iteration of the character in no way connected to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. storyline.”

That’s pretty cool! I thought Luna was great as Ghost Rider in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. so I like that even though this is going to be a completely different iteration of the character, they have brought back the same actor to play him. He’ll be great. He’s already proved that he has what it takes for this version of the character.

One thing that I hope from the series is that it pushes things into a darker more hardcore direction that gives us a properly awesome adaptation of the character.

Ghost Rider, also known as Robbie Reyes, ”is consumed by hellfire and supernaturally bound to a demon. He lives on the Texas/Mexico border and when he unleashes the Rider, Robbie brings vengeance for the innocents he encounters, but struggles to control the power he wields”.

Ingrid Escajeda will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the series with Paul Zbyszewski and Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb also executive producing.

Ghost Rider will also most likely end up crossing over with the new Helstrom series.

What do you all think about Luna reprising his role as Robbie Reyes in this completely new imagining of Ghost Rider?
