Ian McShane to Reprise His Role in the JOHN WICK Spinoff Film BALLERINA

Lionsgate has announced that they’ve started production on the John Wick spinoff movie Ballerina starring Ana de Armas. It was also revealed that Ian McShane has joined the project and is set to reprise his role as Winston, the manager of The Continental Hotel.

John Wick producer Basil Iwanyk shared in a statement: “We’re thrilled to have Ian McShane joining us for a pivotal role in Ballerina. He’s been such an integral part of the franchise since the original John Wick. It’s been fun to have him on this journey as the Wick universe expands.”

It’s awesome to hear that McShane is back as Winston, and it’s great to learn that he’ll have a pivotal role in the story, which follows de Armas's young assassin as she seeks revenge against her family's killers.

Len Wiseman is directing Ballerina from a script written by Shay Hatten, which was punched up by Promising Young Woman writer Emerald Fennell. The producers are Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski.

McShane was most recently seen as Mr. Wednesday in the hit Starz television series American Gods. He also served as Executive Producer on the series, which is the TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman's 2001 novel. He also recently voiced a role in Netflix’s animated film My Father’s Dragon
