INVINCIBLE Season 2 Gets a New Poster!
A trailer for Invincible is expected to premiere at Comic-Con this week during its panel and while we wait for that, Amazon Prime Video has shared a new poster that is packed full of characters from the fan-favorite series.
Earlier this year a promo spot was released featuring Mark Grayson, a.k.a. Invincible, sitting in a Burger Mart diner with Allen the Alien. It touched on why it was taking so long for Season 2 to get made and that it would return in late 2023.
The new post comes with the tagline, “Almost There” which is most likely referent to the fact that were almost to the point where the show will premiere.
Series star Steven Yeun talked about the upcoming season and shared that Kirkman is incredibly excited about what’s coming in the next chapter of the story. He said:
"[Kirkman's] super excited about it. He thinks season 2 is gonna be even better than season 1, which I have no doubt about. If you go to his source material, Invincible is an incredible comic, and just thinking about how much story hasn't been told from that run, it's gonna be bonkers. I'm really excited about it."
Invincible revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Yeun), who's just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). The ending of the first season was insane as it ended with Omni-Man's twisted true intentions being revealed. I’m excited to see how the story continues to play out in Season 2!
The series also stars Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Gillian Jacobs, Zachary Quinto, Jason Mantzoukas, Melise, Mark Hamill, Mahershala Ali, Seth Rogen, and more.
