INVINCIBLE Season 4 Teaser Trailer Unleashes Lee Pace’s Grand Regent Thragg
Prime Video just dropped a new teaser for Invincible Season 4, and it finally gives fans a brutal first look at Grand Regent Thragg, voiced by Lee Pace. If you thought Mark Grayson had it rough before, this new footage makes one thing clear. The storm hasn’t even started yet.
Season 4 arrives in just two weeks, and the spotlight is firmly on Thragg, the most dangerous Viltrumite in the saga. Fans of the comic already know what that means. For everyone else, let’s just say Mark is about to face a level of power and cruelty that makes previous threats look manageable.
In the Season 3 finale, Mark barely survived his encounter with Conquest, voiced by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. That fight left scars, physical and emotional. But Thragg isn’t just another heavy hitter. He’s the Grand Regent.
He represents the full force of Viltrumite authority, and the teaser shows him tearing through opponents like they’re nothing. One blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shot even hints at a familiar costume among the wreckage.
Pace recently opened up about stepping into the role, and he sounds just as pumped as fans are to hear him unleash it.
"Let me just start with that he looks cool as hell! The character looks so badass. As I was learning more about the story we were setting up, what I saw was a character with a lot of depth and a lot of different extremes. He goes through a lot.
“I don't want to say too much about that because we're just at the beginning of it, but I've also never done anything like this before. I've never done a voice-to-character like this."
While Thragg is a powerhouse, Pace explains there’s more going on under the surface.
"I do feel like I'm playing the character like I know him now. We've recorded enough and I've researched him enough, thought about him when I'm going on my runs and been inspired by the comic books, but also the fans' engagement with the character. It all kind of goes in the machine, in a way."
Thragg is one of the most intense characters in the entire Invincible universe, and from the sound of it, Pace has fully immersed himself in the role, drawing from the source material and the fanbase’s passion to shape his performance.
Here’s the official synopsis for Season 4: "While the world recovers from catastrophe, a changed Mark fights to protect his home and the people he loves," reads the season 4 synopsis, "setting him on a collision course with a threat that could alter the fate of humanity forever."
That threat, of course, is Thragg.
The voice cast for Invincible remains one of the most impressive lineups in animation. The series stars Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, J.K. Simmons, Gillian Jacobs, Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Lee Pace, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Zachary Quinto, Chris Diamantopoulos, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ben Schwartz, Clancy Brown, Jay Pharoah, Mark Hamill, Matthew Rhys, Danai Gurira, and Melise.
With Mark still reeling from everything he’s endured and the Viltrumite threat escalating, Season 4 looks like it’s going to push Invincible into even darker territory. Thragg has entered the arena, and if the teaser is any indication, Mark Grayson isn’t ready for what’s coming.
But we are.
