Is BLACK PANTHER's Killmonger The Best Villain in the MCU?

If you've been on social media at all this past weekend, there's a good chance that you've seen a lot of fans talking about Black Panther. A lot of them are talking about Michael B. Jordan's character Killmonger and how he is the best villain in the MCU so far.

Audiences are absolutely loving Black Panther. Even Marvel Studio president Kevin Feige says that it's the best Marvel movie. Personally, I think he needs to go back and watch some of their past movies and be reminded of what they've done because there are some pretty amazing films that I think are still better than Black Panther. That's just my opinion, though.

As far as Killmonger being the best villain in the MCU, Marvel has had issues with their villains in the past. I think any Marvel fan will admit to that. But, do you think he's the best? I personally really loved Michael Keaton at The Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Hugo Weaving as The Red Skull, and Cate Blanchette as Hela were also pretty great. I thought Killmonger was a solid villain that was better than most MCU villains, but I wouldn't say he's the best right now. I haven't made up my mind yet.

I thought Killmonger was a very smart and calculated villain during the first half of the film. The guy is very educated, extremely smart, and skilled in the art of war. He also had a tragic past that made me have sympathy for the character and it gave me an understanding of his intentions. But, that all seemed to go out the window in the second half of the film. Once he somehow found Wakanda, brought Ulysses Klaue to W'Kabi, and kicked T'Challa's ass, he immediately let rage take over. If he would have continued to be the smart and calculating person that he was, he honestly probably would have succeeded.

For me, once he let his rage take over he pretty much became like almost every other MCU villain that there is. They all end up letting their rage take over in the end. So for me, Killmonger just seemed like more of the same. But, Michael B. Jordon was freakin' awesome in the role! He gave a hell of a performance, and that's what makes him one of the best.

But who cares what I think! I just thought this would make for a good conversation now that most of you have had a chance to see the movie.

Do you think Killmonger is the best villain in the MCU? If not, where does he fall on your list? Why do you feel the way you do regarding this character? If you think he is the best villain, what am I missing? My opinion on this isn't 100% set in stone, it can be swayed in either direction at this point.
