It Sounds Like Samuel L. Jackson Is Also Going to Show Up in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA
Samuel L. Jackson sure is keeping himself busy as Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We already knew that he would be appearing in Secret Invasion and The Marvels, but now it sounds like he’s also going to be showing up in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly.
While a guest on Happy Sad Confused, Jackson explained that while he was shooting Secret Invasion, he was running around shooting scenes for the other Marvel projects as well. Here’s his quote:
"When I was in London just now, it was like Ant-Man and Captain Marvel 2 was happening, and we were getting ready to do Secret Invasion. So it's like three Marvel movies on one lot. I was kind of running around from place to place."
It makes sense that Fury would show up in Quantumania, as it will feature Jonathan Majors as Kang as the main villain, and it only makes sense that Fury would be interested in learning about the next major threat to the universe.
The movie also stars Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer, who will be back as Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne. On top of that, Kathryn Newton will make her MCU debut as Scott Lang's daughter, Cassie Lang. Then there’s Bill Murray, who will be playing a villain.
When previously talking about the third chapter in the Ant-Man franchise, director Peyton Reed teased what we can expect from the film in terms of its size, and explained that this next sequel is going to be much bigger than the first two films:
“There are some really exciting things in store, none of which I can speak to about right now. As is the Marvel way!
“I think the third Ant-Man movie is going to be…a much bigger, more sprawling movie than the first two. It’s going to have a very, very different visual template. And that’s all I will say.”
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania opens in theaters on July 28, 2023.
