Jackie Chan’s Stunt Team Is Bringing Their Signature Action Style to SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY
Marvel fans are in for a treat as Spider-Man: Brand New Day is getting a serious boost in the action department, thanks to Jackie Chan and his legendary stunt team.
In a recent interview with Hong Kong outlet HK01, Chan revealed that he paid a visit to the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, not just as a casual guest, but because the Jackie Chan Stunt Team is officially involved in choreographing the film's action sequences.
“My Jackie Chan Stunt Team was busy filming Spider-Man, and I was the action director for the Jackie Chan Stunt Team.”
While fans might get excited about seeing Chan make an on-screen cameo in the MCU, he clarified that he's not part of the cast.
“I went to watch their rehearsals, and the director Destin Daniel Cretton was quite surprised to see me. I made sure he understood that they are part of my team.”
Chan also gave props to Tom Holland, who’s back as Peter Parker, saying:
“I heard the young man paid tribute to my films in a lot of action scenes and has done stunts by himself.”
Production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day kicked off on August 1, 2025, with filming taking place in Glasgow before shifting to Pinewood Studios in England.
Set photos have already teased some big set pieces, including Holland in action alongside a tank. Rumors are flying about a wild showdown involving Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, both of whom are confirmed to appear in the movie.
Returning MCU cast members include Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, and Michael Mando as Mac Gargan aka Scorpion. Newcomers to the franchise include Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Tramell Tillman.
With Chan’s stunt team crafting the action, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be a high-octane entry in the MCU. The film swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
