SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Officially "Day One" Behind-The-Scenes Video

If your Spidey senses were tingling today, you weren’t imagining it. Sony Pictures dropped the official “Day One” behind-the-scenes teaser for Marel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and while there’s no actual movie footage, there’s plenty of stuff for fans to get excited about.

The clip shows Tom Holland back in the iconic red-and-blue, taking photos with kids on set, chatting with director Destin Daniel Cretton, and reminding everyone why he’s not just a superhero on screen.

The movie picks up after the events of No Way Home when the world forgot Peter Parker’s identity, including best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) and former girlfriend MJ (Zendaya). That peaceful distance won’t last long. Michael Mando returns as Mac Gargan, aka Scorpion, ready to settle a grudge dating back to Homecoming’s post-credits scene.

Peter might not be facing this threat alone. The film will also bring Jon Bernthal’s Punisher to the big screen for the first time, which means we can expect some moral headbutting given Spidey’s no-kill rule.

To make things even more chaotic, Mark Ruffalo is back as the Hulk for what’s bound to be a street-level demolition derby in New York City

Stranger Things star Sadie Sink has joined the cast in an undisclosed role, and Holland’s clearly feeling the weight and thrill of returning to the role. As he puts it:

“Putting the suit on… it feels different this time. I’m just going to do my best. Hopefully get it right. No pressure.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
