James Gunn Confirms Rachel Brosnahan Will Return as Lois Lane in MAN OF TOMORROW
Director James Gunn is slowly pulling back the curtain on his next Superman adventure, and now we’ve got confirmation that Rachel Brosnahan is officially back as Lois Lane in Man of Tomorrow.
The reveal came during a Q&A on Threads, where Gunn was asked, “James, how much of a role does Lois play in Man of Tomorrow?”
He kept his response short and to the point, saying, “She’s important.” That’s enough to let fans know Lois will be back, as expected, and she’s going to play a meaningful part in the story.
This update follows Gunn’s big reveal of the movie’s official title. On Instagram, he announced the film as Man of Tomorrow and shared a bold new piece of artwork by DC Comics President Jim Lee.
The image features Superman alongside Lex Luthor, rocking his iconic green-and-purple armored suit. Gunn captioned the post with the release date, writing, “Man of Tomorrow. In theatres July 9, 2027.”
Fans had questions about the exact title, wondering if it would be Superman: Man of Tomorrow instead. Gunn cleared that up quickly, responding, “Just Man of Tomorrow.”
While the movie continues the Superman saga, Gunn has also made it clear that it’s not intended as a direct sequel to the 2025 film.
The cast lineup inlcudes David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman. He shared Jim Lee’s artwork on Instagram, and Gunn jumped into the comments to say, “See you soon!!”
Nicholas Hoult, who brought Lex Luthor to life in the previous film, also confirmed he’ll be back. Sharing another piece of art on social media, he got a reply from Gunn as well, who told him, “See you on set in not too long!”
As a fan of the first film, it’ll be cool to see what Gunn has got cooking for Man of Tomorrow.
