James Gunn Confirms Tim Meadows Has Joined the Cast of PEACEMAKER Season 2

Head of DC and filmmaker James Gunn has announced a newcomer to the second season of his series Peacemaker. Saturday Night Live alum Tim Meadows, also known for his roles in Means Girls and The Goldbergs, is taking on the role of ARGUS Agent Langston Fleury. The character seems to be an original James Gunn creation for the show, but we should hear more as the season approaches.

Gunn announced the casting news in the Instagram post you can check out below, which features Gunn and Meadows pictured alongside Peacemaker star Steve Agee (ARGUS agent John Econoos) seemingly on set of the series.

John Cena is back in the new season, and he is joined by Frank Grillo, who is new to the show, but will reprise his DC role of Rick Flag Sr. The rest of the show’s cast includes Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick.

Gunn will be directing some of the episodes of the show on the weekends while he’s shooting Superman. There are three other directors that will be working on the show as well.

There are no details on the story for Season 2, but Gunn teased his future cameo plans for it, saying, "I think we're going to see more connections in some other stuff as we move forward with Peacemaker and other shows at HBO Max.

“So those [cameos] will keep coming. I don't know if the Justice League is going to show up in every season of Peacemaker; that might be a one-time thing. We'll see!"

Peacemaker stars Cena and follows the action-packed and wild escapades of Peacemaker, a vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.
