James Gunn Shares Official Promo Image Featuring Milly Alcock as Supergirl - "Look Out"
With Superman soaring high at the box office and setting a strong tone for James Gunn’s DCU, all eyes are now on what’s next with Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Director Craig Gillespie’s upcoming film, starring House of the Dragon breakout Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, is scheduled to hit theaters in June 2026.
Fans already caught a quick (and very unexpected) glimpse of Alcock’s Supergirl at the end of Superman in a surprise cameo.
On his X account, Gunn posted a promo image image of Kara Zor-El leaning casually against a wall, sipping a drink while rocking her new Supergirl suit. The iconic “S” symbol blazes across her chest, and the tagline flips Superman’s famous phrase on its head: Instead of “Look up,” this one warns fans to “Look out.”
Supergirl’s introduction in Superman was a tonal jolt in the best way possible. She showed up at the Fortress of Solitude drunk, picked up her dog Krypto, called Superman a “bitch,” and flew off like it was no big deal. It was hilarious, irreverent, and a perfect tease for what’s to come.
If that cameo is any indication, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is shaping up to be one hell of a wild ride through the cosmic edges of the DCU. June 2026 can’t come soon enough.
