Jamie Lee Curtis Would Return For Another HALLOWEEN Sequel if David Gordon Green Directs
With the success that the new Halloween film has seen, we know Blumhouse wants a sequel. We also know that Danny McBride has some ideas for it that he’d like to pursue.
We don’t know what to expect from a new Halloween sequel because it’s too early to tell. But, if the story for Laurie Strode continues, Jamie Lee Curtis is up for reprising her role again if director David Gordon Green asked her.
In a recent interview with Empire Magazine, the actress revealed:
“If David Gordon Green called me up and said let’s do another Halloween, I would do another Halloween. Because he did such a beautiful job creating this movie.”
So, there ya have it. The question is, should the story of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers continue, or did Halloween give her a proper ending to their characters? I think Halloween was a great conclusion and the stories for these characters should end here.
As I previously said, I’d be more interested in seeing an anthology series like John Carpenter originally intended for the franchise. These stories would be standalone films that don’t deal with Michael Myers. Carpenter tried to do this with Halloween III: Season of the Witch but it failed.
If the studio tried to start a Halloween anthology film series, do you think it would success or bomb?
