Jared Leto Is Back as Joker in Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE
Jared Leto has joined Zack Snyder’s Justice League Director’s Cut, and he will reprise his role as Joker. Leto is a part of the additional shooting that is being done for the film.
There are no details given regarding what his role in the story will be, but there’s sure to be a lot of speculation from the fans. Maybe he will appear in a flashback scene involving the death of Robin? Maybe there will be some kind of tie-in to Suicide Squad? I don’t know, but I guess we’ll eventually find out.
Snyder is currently shooting additional footage for the film with Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher, and Amber Heard. The report says that it’s unclear what other actors are involved, but Henry Cavill did say that he will not be a part of it.
It’s surprising to learn that Leto is playing Joker again, but regardless of what he went through on having a lot of his scenes cut from Suicide Squad, it’s cool that he was open to returning to the role. I can’t help be curious to see how Joker will be utilized in the movie.
The report also mentions that producers Jon Berg and Geoff Johns, who oversaw the movie and the reshoot by Joss Whedon, will not be receiving producer credits on the Snyder Cut. I imagine this has something to do with the accusations made by Fisher against them.
HBO Max gave Snyder a $70 million budget to bring his full vision of Justice League to life. Snyder’s cut of Justice League will be four hours long and will be split up into four hour-long episodes. Fans have been incredibly excited about seeing Snyder’s vision for Justice League.
Justice League: Director’s Cut will be released on HBO Max in 2021. What do you all think about Leto joining the party as Joker?
