Jason Momoa Says That Henry Cavill Is "One Hundred Percent" Not Leaving His Superman Role
There have been several reports regarding Henry Cavill not coming back to reprise his role of Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman, for Warner Bros. in the future DC films.
Well, it sounds like those reports might be wrong. Jason Momoa was recently asked by ET if Cavill was, in fact, leaving the role of Superman behind him, and his answer was a big fat NO.
"I just talked to Henry. He's absolutely not [leaving the character]. He loves the character. He's not. One hundred percent."
Well, that’s good news! 100% is pretty definitive. As much as I may not be a fan of the earlier DC films, I have always liked Cavill in the role of Superman. He fits that character so well! He just needs to be a part of a great Superman story!
There’s no word on when we will see Superman back in action, but the last I heard we won’t be seeing a Man of Steel sequel anytime soon. This is the official statement that WB released on the matter:
"While no decisions have been made regarding any upcoming Superman films. we've always had great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill, and that remains unchanged."
Are you happy to hear from Momoa that Henry Civill has not hung his cape up for good yet?
