Jason Statham Goes Full Throttle in MUTINY Trailer - A High-Seas Conspiracy Thriller Loaded With Action
Lionsgate has dropped the first trailer for Mutiny, and it looks like exactly the kind of gritty, high-impact action ride you want from Jason Statham.
If you thought he was slowing down, think again. This marks his second movie hitting screens this year after Shelter, and he’s clearly never going to stop being in full-on action mode.
This time, Statham steps into the role of Cole Reed, a former Special Forces operative and ex-New York cop who’s now working in private security.
Things go sideways fast when his billionaire boss is murdered right in front of him. Reed is framed for the killing and suddenly finds himself hunted while trying to clear his name.
Naturally, that search pulls him into something much bigger, an international conspiracy that stretches far beyond what he expected. A huge chunk of the chaos unfolds on a cargo ship that Reed basically storms like a one-man army.
As expected, that journey comes with plenty of brutal fights, explosive set pieces, and the kind of no-nonsense vengeance Statham fans show up for.
The film is directed by Jean-François Richet, the same guy behind Plane, and you can feel that same gritty, grounded intensity baked into every frame of this trailer. Richet has a solid track record with crime and action stories, and Mutiny looks like it leans hard into that wheelhouse.
The supporting cast brings some strong energy too, with Annabelle Wallis, Jason Wong as Taran, Roland Møller, Arnas Fedaravicius, and Adrian Lester rounding things out.
Everything about this trailer screams big, unapologetic action. Fights are raw, the stakes are high, and the setting on that massive cargo ship adds a cool, contained intensity to the whole thing.
Mutiny hits theaters on August 21, 2026.
