Jennifer Connelly's Role in SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Officially Revealed
Not long ago we learned that Jennifer Connelly would be in Spider-Man: Homecoming. It wasn't revealed who exactly she would be playing at the time. Just that her name was Karen and that she was also referred to as "Suit Lady".
Thanks to director Jon Watts, we now know exactly who she's playing. If you don't want to know, then I suggest you don't read beyond this point.
As we previously said, she is not reprising her role as Betty Ross. The Hulk film that she starred in wasn't even a part of the current MCU. One of our readers, Andrew All Over, actually guessed who she would be playing in the comments of our previous post.
While talking to Entertainment Weekly, Watts revealed that Connelly will be playing the voice of the A.I. of Spider-Man's suit. Here's an interesting fact about that... Connelly is also married to Paul Bettany, who, as you know, started off as the Tony Stark's personal A.I., Jarvis. Watts said:
"Yes, it’s Jarvis’ wife. It’s cool, right?"
It is indeed, cool! Karen actually has a good sized role in the film as she not only helps Peter Parker navigate his suit but she also, in a way, helps navigate him in his life. You'll see what I mean when you see the movie!
