Jennifer Lopez Is Hunting Down a Renegade Robot in Teaser Trailer for Netflix's ATLAS
Netflix has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming sci-fi thriller adventure film Atlas. The movie stars Jennifer Lopez who finds herself in a mech, hunting down a renegade robot. Lopez has starred in her fair share of genre thriller films over the years, but this is the first time we’ve seen her in a big-budget sci-fi action movie, and it looks pretty wild.
The film centers on Atlas Shepherd (Lopez), “a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.”
Atlas was directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas, Rampage) and written by Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite. It also stars Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, Gregory James Cohan, Abraham Popoola, Lana Parrilla, and Mark Strong.
The film is set to debut on Netflix on Friday, May 24th.
