Jeremy Renner Shares Recovery Photo and Message to Fans; Additional Details on Accident Revealed
Jeremy Renner shared a photo of himself in his hospital bed on Instagram after undergoing two surgeries. He also thanked fans for their support saying: “Thank you all for your kind words. 🙏. I’m too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”
Renner sustained blunt chest trauma and injuries after a snowplowing accident. We’ve learned from Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, that Renner was helping plow a private road used by his family and his neighbors. It’s explained that he then stopped his Snowcat plow to help a stranded motorist, who was identified as a family member. Renner reportedly exited the snowplow he was driving, and it ended up sliding forward and injured Renner as he attempted to stop the 14,000-pound vehicle.
Schieve told the Reno Gazette-General, "He was helping someone stranded in the snow. He is always helping others. He's always calling and saying, 'Hey Mayor, what do you need?'"
Washoe County Sherriff's Office previously released the following statement: "We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, January 2nd 2023. He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”
Jeremy's family expressed their gratitude to the “incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families. They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans."
It seems like Renner is lucky to be alive after what he went through, but he’s got a long road ahead of him.
