Joe Hill's Short Story USHERS Getting Film Adaptation From Producer Gary Dauberman
Sony’s Screen Gems has picked up the rights to an unpublished short story written by Joe Hill titled Ushers, and Gary Dauberman (It: Chapter 1, It: Chapter 2) is set to develop and produce the film with Zak Olkewicz writing the script.
There are now details to share in regard to the story, but with the involvement of Hill and Dauberman, we know that it will end up being a horror movie.
Dauberman is currently developing a few other projects right now including a live-action adaptation of Disney’s Gargoyles, and an adaptation of the hit horror video game Until Dawn. We’re also waiting for Warner Bros. to finally released his adaptation of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot.
