John Glover of SMALLVILLE Fame is Said to be in SHAZAM!
Fans of Smallville may remember John Glover as Lionel Luther, the father of Lex Luthor. He was a fan favorite for the first seven seasons and then he returned in season ten. Well, now a report comes from Revenge of the Fans that Glover will be in the next DC film, Shazam!. There’s no word on what role he will play, but the same source said that Adam Brody and D.J. Cotrona would be in the film before the official announcements. Also, this wouldn’t be the first nod to DC’s other projects from director David F. Sandberg.
We know that there will be references to Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Justice League simply from the photos and trailers. However, Brody and Cotrona were going to appear in Justice League Mortal before that was cancelled.
It has also been confirmed that the villains go way back with our hero in the comics. Finally, it was recently revealed the “Superman Theme” from Superman: The Movie will be hummed in the next trailer. With all these nods, and the track record of the source, this sounds like a very likely thing.
Shazam! will be released on April 5, 2019.
